Another Christmas Special Celebrating Milestone Anniversary

In addition to the  50th anniversary of "A Charlie Brown Christmas,"  this holiday season marks the 45th anniversary of "Santa Claus is coming to town," the Rankin – Bass Productions' stop-motion "Animagic" special starring Fred Astaire and Mickey Rooney.   Once again, the special will air on ABC where it premiered on December 14, 1970. Check listings for times.

I personally loved all of the Rankin Bass specials because the visual style is so unique. I even bought the Blu-ray box set of Rankin Bass specials and they look absolutely incredible. Dig this clip
