Argument Leads to Shooting in Temple
One man is hospitalized and another is in jail after an argument turned violent in Temple Monday night.
Police were dispatched to the Waymon Manor Apartments at 1811 East Avenue K at 10:16 PM after receiving a report of a person shot. While the caller was on the phone, the 911 dispatcher could hear gunshots and called for all available units to respond.
When police arrived, they spotted 28-year-old Freddy Uceta in a field north of the apartment complex. Uceta fled from officers and hid inside of a burned-out apartment unit. He eventually surrendered, and officers found a discarded gun in his hiding place.
