Some of you might've been up and tuned in when their radar spotted a tornado. Well it did make touchdown.

KWTX is reporting that damaged the town of Franklin, Texas.

KWTX Brady Taylor said there was a strong smell of natural gas in the area, and that at least two mobile homes were damaged, cars were overturned and power lines were down.

"Quite a bit of injuries, but no fatalities." was the quote from Tiffany Witherspoon with the Robertson County Sheriff's Office.

Firefighters were going door-to-door to check on people, and law enforcement was asking that lookyloos avoid the area until further notice.

People who were displaced should know that the First Baptist Church of Franklin has opened its doors as a shelter.

The Robertson County Sheriff's Office has also asked that you contact them to report down power lines.

So far the storms caused power outages across Central Texas, as of 1:30 p.m. Oncor reported there were a 1,000 customers in in Leon County, 1,400 in Limestone Coiunty, 5,500 in McLennan County, 500 in Freestone County, 1,700 in Falls County, 1,800 in Bell County without power.
