Seeing how last week was Slow Jam week, let's go 180 degrees away from that this week, okay? Let's kick off ROCK WEEK! Guitars! Drums! 1! 2! 3! FAWH!

Cheap Trick, much like their hometown of Chicago, will always be the underdog. Not the prettiest band, not the most consistent band. Two goons, two kinda heart throbs, and a whole lotta rock and roll chops. Cheap Trick albums could be haphazard affairs, but the stage was where they ruled. Just ask all those screaming Japanese girls on Live At Budokan.

And that live thunderous energy was what they captured when it came to their 1979 album Dream Police and it's title track. Straight up, this track is insane in it's energy, way unstable in it's performance. It's bottled vintage nut-ballery.

This was the band's most successful record, topping at a very nice number six in 1979, going platinum in the U.S. and triple platinum in Canada. Let's kick Rock Week into gear then, ladies and gentleman, by going a lot crazy, with your-
