Well, looks like movie night will have to be at home.

We received word from the City Of Killeen today that tonight's "Free Movies In Your Park" showing has been cancelled.

The reason has nothing to do with the Governor's executive orders, which don't go into effect until Monday, but the city says that today's high winds are the cause of the cancellation.

They were scheduled to show the film "Playing With Fire" tonight, but instead will reschedule that showing for a later date. The City of Killeen is still keeping its other film dates as of now including:

  • July 10 Wonder Park, PG

  • July 24 The Lion King, PG

Remember that for all showings, seating areas will be marked to ensure social distancing. Viewers may sit in groups of up to five and bring blankets or lawn chairs, and you're allowed to bring your concessions -  but leave the alcohol and other "adult" things at home.
