Chip and Joanna Gains have put their star power to work after Winter Storm Uri rolled through Central Texas.

Now that we are past the worst winter storm to ever roll through these parts, lots of folks are in need. Chip and Joanna are ready to help, and they're hoping others will join them.

According to a report on KXXV, Channel 25, Central Texas' most famous couple are getting to work to provide some much needed help to those who need it. Magnolia is teaming up with several programs including Habitat Texas: Disaster Relief Services, Feeding Texas, and Mission Waco to raise money for relief. Magnolia has already donated $100,000 to help kick-start the effort.

Chip Gaines took to his Instagram and had this to say: "Whether you heard about it on the news or have been living in the middle of it, you know Texas has been hit hard by Winter Storm Uri, families and individuals from all over are dealing with the fallout of a storm like we’ve never seen."

Magnolia was one of many businesses hit hard by the storm, suffering a broken water pipe that flooded their restaurant. While getting things fixed and back in order, they've also reportedly been working to help out their staff as well.

"And we know the reality—that this same story is playing out right now across the state. With so many people facing difficult circumstances and in need of help. From big cities to small towns, uncertain of what tomorrow will bring," Gaines said.

100% of the funds raised with their 'Texas Forever' link will go directly to the organizations providing immediate relief. According to the Magnolia website, "These groups have already hit the ground running to provide immediate relief to communities across the state, and are committed to long-term recovery and restoration efforts, locally and statewide."

One way to help is by buying a 'Texas Forever" t-shirt, with profits from the shirt going to the Magnolia Foundation "dedicated to helping those in need."

Even if you're not in a position to donate right now, there are things you can do do help in your community, most of which you're probably already doing. Check on an elderly or disabled neighbor. Give a friend a ride to work if their car was damaged. Volunteer to help distribute food and water to those still recovering from the winter weather crisis.

We've seen Texans come together to help each other in all sorts of ways during all this, proving once again that the Lone Star State can overcome anything thanks to the good-hearted people living here.
