Former First Lady Michelle Obama is continuing her passion for promoting healthy eating for children with a brand new Netflix series and the help of two special friends.

According to a post by Michelle Obama on Instagram, the new show is set to debut on Netflix March 16. The series is called Waffles + Mochi, and is "all about good food: discovering it, cooking it, and of course, eating it."

Waffle appears to be a blue puppet with a waffle headpiece and Mochi is actually...a pink Mochi puppet! If you aren't aware,  Mochi is a type of Japanese dessert that is made of rice. CNN states that Michelle will play the role of the supermarket owner who assists Waffle and Mochi on their journey to become chefs.

"With the help of friendly new faces like the supermarket owner, Mrs. Obama, and a magical flying shopping cart as their guide, Waffles and Mochi blast off on global ingredient missions, traveling to kitchens, restaurants, farms, and homes all over the world, cooking up recipes with everyday ingredients alongside renowned chefs, home cooks, kids, and celebrities," Netflix said in a statement to CNN.

While the show is aimed towards children, Michelle wrote, "adults will also get plenty of laughs—and some tips for the kitchen." Honestly I'm super excited to see more of Michelle Obama's grace, positive character, and humor.

Luckily for us, Barack and Michelle Obama's Higher Ground Productions penned a deal with Netflix that will include a variety of productions. Last year we were blessed with the documentary Becoming that followed the former first lady on the book tour of her memoir of the same name.

If you're like others in the country and need more Michelle in your life, then you can also tune into her podcast that she started last year. Personally I absolutely need a podcast that consists solely of Michelle and former president George W. Bush. Their friendship is #goals.
