Tennessee Ernie Ford Passes Away 22 Years Ago

It was 22 years ago today that we had to say goodbye to the singer of one of the greatest songs of all time.

Tennessee Ernie Ford passed away in Reston, Virginia at the age of 72.  Ernie sang the iconic hit "16 Tons".  Unique in that it was Clarinet driven.  And of course finger snappen.

Ernie passed away exactly 36 after this song was released.
